VICRYL™ Endoloop Ligature, Size 0, 18", is a sterile, absorbable loop ligature designed for efficient tissue ligation during laparoscopic procedures. The ligature is composed of polyglactin 910, a synthetic absorbable copolymer of glycolide and lactide, known for its predictable absorption and high initial tensile strength. The braided violet suture is pre-tied into a secure loop, facilitating consistent and effective ligation.

The device features an 18-inch ligature housed within a specially designed plastic tube. This tube is narrow at one end for precise control and scored at the other to enable easy breaking during activation. The configuration allows for controlled delivery of the loop through a trocar, ensuring placement accuracy in confined surgical fields.

Once the loop is positioned around the targeted structure, the scored end of the tube is snapped and the loop is tightened by pulling upward. This action secures the pre-tied knot and maintains stable ligation with minimal tissue trauma. The design eliminates the need for intra-abdominal knot tying and reduces operating time.
